Collection of printed and manuscript documents regarding Antonio Benito and his status in the inquisition's Santa Hermandad confraternity. The Hermandad's centuries-old role in the suppression of gypsies and bandits noted, along with more recent struggles against the French invaders. Benito's qualities and blood purity (limpieza) are noted, for which he is named comisario quadrillero of the Hermandad. Contains signatures and wax seal.

Edict baninng a text entitled, "Examen de la Tradicion del Pilar," and related works, refuting the legend that the Virgin Mary once visited Zaragoza. Astorga y Cespedes served only a few months in office, and may already have been replaced when this decree was issued.

Notice and description of a public book burning. Contains some manuscript notes, a signature, and wax seal.

The document notes privileges and exemptions of inquisitorial familiares, and cites recent mistreatment of the familiar Alonso Diaz Guerrero in the town of Alcazar. Contains signatures and wax seals. A further note, added a month later, confirms the document was acknowledged by town officials.

The properties were apparently used as inquisitorial prisons. Summary in eighteenth century hand given on first folio.
